Doug is a lovable energetic 3-year-old pup with a friendly personality. He does have those pesky heart worms but is being treated, those should be gone soon. He adores people, is great with small dogs, and is non-aggressive toward other pets. However, he does have a playful side—he’ll happily chase cats if given the chance!
Doug is good with children but would do best in a home without children. He plays a bit rough. He’s house-trained and will settle into his crate at night. He’s also incredibly well-mannered at mealtime—he’ll sit and wait patiently for the “eat” command before diving into his food.
Doug is very food-driven and knows several commands, including sit, lay, paw, fetch, and "leave it." He loves his daily 30-minute walk and, after getting his energy out, will curl up next to you for a well-earned nap.
He rides well in the car and is an affectionate companion who enjoys soaking up love. While he occasionally gets excited and jumps on people (a work in progress!), he’s otherwise polite—he won’t get on furniture unless invited. He does, however, have a funny habit of finding socks and carrying one (or two) around the house like a prized possession!
Doug has never counter-surfed, but he did knock over a trash can once—so he’s still perfecting his kitchen etiquette. Overall, he’s a sweet, fun-loving dog who would thrive in a home that can provide him with love, structure, and plenty of snuggles. 🐾💕
