Pozdrav svima!

 

Do I have your attention now?? 

 

That is the daily greeting used by men in my home country. I was born on May 28, 2018 in Serbia and at the age of 4 months, I applied for my export pedigree passport and traveled with my new parents to this strange place called New Caney, Texas. It took me awhile to learn the language but I quickly adapted and  lived happily with my family until I became very sick with kidney stones. My parents thankfully loved me enough to surrender me to this wonderful group called GRRH who immediately jumped into action and got me the care I needed.

 

I have been convalescing in my foster home, but truthfully I was back to my bouncy self within 5 days of surgery! I love to play with my foster brother, go on twice daily walks (although my foster Mom has to remind me that we still can't go too far due to these pesky heartworms that I am being treated for!) and chew on my bacon flavored Benebone. But my favorite activity of all is anything to do with FOOD! Oh how I love my meals and my treats, I get VERY excited. My foster Mom tells me I am velcro, whatever that means. I just want to be no more than 2 feet from her no matter what she is doing.

 

I promise I am a good boy (most of the time) and am working on my commands. I behave on walks and don't pull on the leash and even if I do, all Mom has to say is NO Nicholai, and I stop doing whatever it is she thinks I shouldn't be doing! I love to ride in the car, but that Velcro thing is a challenge as I prefer the back seat and really like to rest my head on the front console.  I sleep peacefully by my foster Mom's bed at night as she gave up on that crate thing after 4 nights. I quickly wrapped her around my huge paw and won that battle after I proved I was trustworthy. 

 

Because I love my humans SO much, I would be best with an active family or single person who is at home at least part time. I used to be around kids and loved them, but haven't been around any since I left New Caney. My new family will need to keep up with my heartworm treatment, take me on walks as much as possible and love, love me!
