Hi everyone, I’m Beau!

I’m a friendly, sweet Golden who gets along great with kids and other dogs—big and small! I’m actually very used to being around children because my previous family had four little ones, so being part of a busy family environment is nothing new to me. I’m house trained, walk pretty well on a leash, ride great in the car, and I’m not an excessive barker. I also don’t guard my food or toys - just my tennis balls!

I can be a little shy, especially around men, and loud or unfamiliar noises can make me nervous. I’m looking for a patient, loving home that will give me some time to build confidence and feel safe. Once I know I’m okay, my personality really starts to come out.

I’m definitely a Golden when it comes to food—I LOVE to eat! I’m also a bit of an opportunist, so don’t leave anything interesting on the counter because I may decide it belongs to me. I’m still working on a few manners, including jumping up when I’m excited and learning that not everything I find is meant to be chewed or swallowed.

I’ve already shown that I can be a wonderful companion. I just need the right person or family to give me consistency, patience, and lots of love while I keep learning what it feels like to be safe and cared for.
